Role Summary
You will join as a backup Android Developer for an existing mobile application. This role is critical for reducing operational risk and ensuring smooth, continuous delivery. You'll need to be comfortable jumping into an existing codebase quickly and working independently with minimal hand-holding.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and further develop features of an existing, production-level Android application
- Quickly understand and navigate an established codebase to provide backup development support
- Work independently with a self-driven, ownership-oriented mindset (minimal supervision needed)
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to deliver and maintain app features
- Fix bugs, optimize performance, and ensure application stability for end-users
- Follow clean code and architecture best practices to keep the codebase maintainable
- Support release and deployment processes across testing and production environments
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Native Android development
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin (primary tech stack for this role)
- Solid understanding of Android SDK, REST API integration (e.g., Retrofit), and Git
- Experience with MVVM and/or Clean Architecture
- Familiar with Dependency Injection patterns
- Able to work independently and adapt quickly to an existing codebase (mid-level mindset or above — comfortable making decisions without heavy guidance)
- Prior experience in banking, fintech, or consumer finance apps is a strong plus
- Willing to work onsite (WFO) in South Jakarta
- Available to join within a reasonable notice period (up to 1 month is acceptable)
