Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and fault-tolerant data processing systems
• Develop and optimize ETL pipelines for processing large volumes of data
• Implement best practices for data security, quality, and governance
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand and support their data requirements
• Monitor and optimize database performance and efficiency
• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and implement solutions
• Document data architecture and maintain technical specifications

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing scalable, secure, distributed, and fault-tolerant Big Data platforms
• Strong proficiency in at least one of: Python, Scala, or Java
• Extensive experience with big data technologies including Apache Flink, Spark, Airflow, and Kafka
• Proven experience working with various database systems (NoSQL, Columnar, and Relational databases)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to architect complex data solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder management
• Track record of successfully coordinating and implementing data pipeline projects
