Responsibilities
Automation System Design & Development
- Design and build automation workflows that integrate AI services (LLMs, OCR, speech-to-text, computer vision) into business processes.
- Develop scripts and applications using Python or JavaScript to automate AI-related tasks.
- Build and configure RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutions using tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Microsoft Power Automate with AI capabilities.
- Implement agentic AI workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGen for use cases requiring multi-step reasoning.
- Build API connectors and webhooks to integrate AI services with internal company systems.
AI Integration & Deployment
- Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) into internal applications and workflows.
- Build and manage robust prompt engineering pipelines for automation use cases.
- Deploy and monitor automated AI systems in production environments (cloud or on-premises).
- Ensure proper error handling, retry mechanisms, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints for critical automated workflows.
Testing, Monitoring & Maintenance
- Conduct comprehensive testing of automated workflows before go-live, including edge cases and failure scenarios.
- Build monitoring dashboards to track automation system performance, uptime, and accuracy.
- Proactively identify and resolve failures within automated workflows.
- Document system architecture, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with AI Generalists, business teams, and software engineers to understand requirements and define solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing automation systems.
- Stay updated on emerging automation frameworks and tools and evaluate their business relevance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must Have
- Proficiency in Python for automation, including scripting, API integration, data processing, and error handling.
- Hands-on experience with at least one RPA platform (UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere) or workflow orchestration platform (Make, n8n).
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and system integrations.
- Experience using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or equivalent) in production environments.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and fundamental software engineering practices.
- Ability to analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Nice to Have / Preferred
- Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
- Basic knowledge of Docker for containerizing automation scripts.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), at minimum for basic deployment use cases.
- Experience building chatbots or conversational AI solutions for customer-facing use cases.
- Understanding of prompt optimization and evaluation for automation scenarios.
- Experience in industries with high transaction volumes (banking, e-commerce, logistics) is considered a plus.
