Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI products aligned with the organization’s short-term and long-term business objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify differentiation opportunities for AI-powered products.
- Collaborate with C-level executives and senior stakeholders to communicate the business value of AI initiatives.
- Prioritize AI features and capabilities based on business impact, technical feasibility, and available resources.
- Define OKRs and success metrics for each AI product or feature being developed.
Product Development & Execution
- Develop comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) for AI products, including acceptance criteria, model evaluation metrics, and edge case handling.
- Lead sprint planning and backlog grooming activities alongside engineering and data science teams within Agile frameworks.
- Manage the product backlog and ensure teams have sufficient context for effective execution.
- Act as the bridge between technical teams (ML Engineers, AI Engineers, Data Scientists) and business teams (sales, marketing, operations).
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate AI outputs before production release.
AI-Specific Product Management
- Define evaluation frameworks to measure AI model quality, including accuracy, latency, fairness, and business KPIs.
- Manage trade-offs between model performance, computational cost, and user experience.
- Lead responsible AI review processes to ensure products are free from unintended bias and comply with ethical standards.
- Manage data labeling strategies and define data quality requirements for model training.
- Identify technical and business risks associated with AI deployment and develop mitigation plans.
Stakeholder Management & Go-to-Market
- Develop and present business cases for AI initiatives to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to define positioning and messaging for AI products.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress regularly with clarity and transparency.
- Establish systematic user feedback loops to drive continuous product improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must Have
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar role with a proven track record of launched products.
- Strong AI literacy — able to understand machine learning concepts, LLMs, and AI pipelines without requiring hands-on coding.
- Ability to define and measure model evaluation metrics (precision, recall, latency, hallucination rate, etc.) as product KPIs.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Notion.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Strong data-driven analytical skills — able to interpret dashboards, analyze A/B testing results, and make informed decisions.
- Experience managing product roadmaps and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
Nice to Have / Preferred
- Hands-on experience building or launching products where AI/ML serves as a core feature.
- Technical background (previous experience as a software developer, data analyst, or ML practitioner) is considered a significant advantage.
- Understanding of responsible AI, AI ethics, and evolving AI regulations.
- Experience in relevant industries such as fintech, healthtech, edtech, e-commerce, or enterprise SaaS.
- Familiarity with AI tools for product management, including AI-assisted roadmapping, AI-driven user research, and analytics platforms.
- Product management certifications (CSPO, PMC, or equivalent) or AI product management courses from IBM, Google, or similar institutions.
